Saginaw Grinding Problem

I have a Monte Carlo 1982.Question:  my problem is after 2 years on a rebuild my Saginaw 4 speed has started grinding a little when shifting into fourth gear . if i double clutch it , it will go in without grinding . it does not grind in any other gear .it is worse at high rpm . i am thinking it is a syncro problem , not a clutch problem . sure could use an expert opinion to help resolve this issue .Answer: Yes defiantly could be a syncro problem and could have been caused by a worn or damaged pilot  We recommend the following parts:

  • Part Number GS301-55 your cost $9.00 GASKET KIT plus S&H
